Dznly uses Google sign-in to create and recognize your account. We receive your Google account identifier, name, and verified email address. Dznly does not request access to your Gmail, Drive, or contacts, and does not receive your Google password.
We store the designs you save, their preview images, and the images you upload so you can edit them later. Your saved designs and uploads are available through your signed-in account. Published templates and graphics are shared catalog content. This first version supports up to 100 saved designs and 200 uploaded images, with a total upload allowance of 500 MB.
Parents can add up to eight child profiles using a nickname and age. Profiles, photos, cards, outfits and coloring pages are private to the family account. Turning a saved design into a coloring page creates a separate copy of that artwork for the approved AI request; original designs remain unchanged. A parent can combine reviewed pages into a printable coloring-book PDF. Independent Kids access requires verified parental consent and a parent PIN. Kids mode cannot access the parent’s designs, account settings or downloads. You can delete a profile and its cards and outfits from your account. Illustrated outfits use built-in and Studio-published clothing choices and do not send photos or prompts to an AI provider. Each family can save up to 100 outfits; parents can download or delete them.
When AI cards are enabled, a parent approves each generation. We send only the supplied photo, hero name, creative description and style to OpenAI for safety checks and photo-based image creation. Profile ages and account details are not sent. Photo metadata is removed before storage. Photo generation remains unavailable until the required provider privacy settings have been verified. Parents review generated cards before children can see them, and downloads are available to parents. Scene stories and their optional voice recordings stay private until a parent creates a story link. Anyone with that link can view the shared pages and play their recordings without signing in. Parents can update or turn off the link in Share story; later edits are private until the shared story is updated. Recordings are not sent to AI. Deleting a child profile removes its saved stories, voice recordings and sharing links.
Family cards have a separate 100 MB / 100 card storage allowance and a maximum of five approved AI requests per family per day. Photos and cards stay until a parent deletes them; interrupted requests are not automatically retried. Deleted files are removed from active storage through a retryable cleanup queue. Daily request counts are retained for 90 days to enforce limits. Operational backups may retain earlier copies until those backups expire.
Children can upload up to three cast photos or reuse saved family creations and talk or type with an AI story guide. Dznly saves the cast photos and conversation privately with the comic. The guide sends fictional cast nicknames and story text to OpenAI, with safety checks before and after each reply. Optional microphone recordings are sent to OpenAI for transcription; Dznly does not save those recordings, and children can edit the transcript before sending it to the guide. Storybook voice recordings are separate and are not sent for transcription. Illustrated comics send a reference sheet and the reviewed story to the existing image-generation service. Photo comics arrange the original photos locally on the server with story captions and dialogue. Both formats send reference photos and finished images to OpenAI for safety checks. Finished comics use the existing family creation limits and review controls. A parent can delete unfinished comic drafts, or delete finished comics from the saved collection; deleting a child profile removes its comic drafts and cast photos.
Children may submit saved artwork for parent review. A parent must approve the exact image, title and public artist nickname before it appears on the public community board. Anyone can view or copy approved images. Each signed-in family can give another family’s artwork one reversible thumbs-up. The board shows the creation tool and art style, but does not expose separate source-photo files, private prompts or story voice recordings. The finished artwork itself may contain photos, which the parent must review before publishing. Stories are shared as a still image of their first page. Parents can remove a submission from the board; this cannot recall copies others already saved. Unfinished editor drafts may be stored privately in this browser, scoped to your family and child, to help recover work.
When you choose Generate AI design, Dznly sends your supplied text, design description, sign dimensions and any uploaded logo or reference images to OpenAI’s GPT Image 2.5 Flare model. The result is saved privately in your account and counts toward your image allowance. You can preview it before applying it to your design. This is a paid AI service limited to 10 designs per account each day.
When you choose Remove background, Dznly sends a preview of that uploaded image to Recraft to identify the subject. This is a paid service with up to 10 requests per account each day. The transparent result is saved privately in your account and counts toward your image allowance. Your original remains available. Nothing is sent for removal merely by uploading an image.
Share creates a view-only image of the visible artwork. Anyone with the link can view or copy that image without signing in; it does not expose your editable document, email address or original uploaded files. Edits stay private until you update the shared version. Stop sharing or delete the design to disable the link; this cannot remove copies someone has already saved. Shared images count toward your 500 MB image allowance.
You can grant named Google accounts or teams access to saved designs. Commenters can review saved previews and leave feedback. Editors can change the shared design; conflicting saves are rejected so one editor does not silently overwrite another. Collaborators can access the artwork files used by designs shared with them. Team owners manage members, and design owners can remove access. Removing access cannot recall files or copies a collaborator already downloaded or saved. Comments include the author name and design version. Entering an email to grant access does not send an invitation email.
Dznly uses a secure session cookie to keep you signed in for up to 30 days. Signing out ends that session. Google provides sign-in and cloud hosting; Cloudflare provides domain and DNS services. These providers may process connection and service information to operate their services. Dznly uses your sign-in information to operate your account and associate it with your designs.
Administrators can see customer names and emails, saved-design counts, and daily sign-in, page-load and save activity to understand how the site is used. Daily activity is retained for 90 days. Public page loads are counted without identifying visitors. We also calculate library artwork, font and text-effect popularity from current saved designs. These reports do not show your design wording or uploaded images, and do not collect IP addresses, browsing fingerprints or advertising identifiers.
You can delete a saved design in My designs. Deleting a design does not delete its uploaded images, which may also be used in other designs.
